Vision Statement

My purpose as an educational psychologist is to support individuals and families in a way that is honest and inspiring so that each person gains awareness and thrives.

  • Evaluation & Assessment

  • I conduct individualized assessments that provide information and answer questions about a myriad of challenges a child may be experiencing in an academic setting. I also provide independent evaluations to public school districts. In addition to understanding areas of struggle, the assessments I conduct are intended to offer insight into a child’s strengths and abilities. Building upon strengths is essential for academic and personal success.
  • Counseling Services

  • I provide support and counseling for students struggling with an array of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and trauma. I work with students in need of developing their emotional regulation, organizational and social skills so they are better able to function both in and outside of school. I assist parents in nurturing the development of all aspects of their child including academic, behavioral and emotional.
  • Educational Support

  • Besides providing direct services to students and their families, I consult with school staff and personnel to help them interpret and understand assessment results so they can implement appropriate interventions and accommodations. I also build capacity among school staff and personnel to address behavioral challenges such as defiance and aggression. Developing a strong connection between home and school is always the goal.
  • In School Advocacy

  • I have extensive knowledge of California’s education code and laws specifically as they pertain to special education. I attend IEP (Individualized Educational Plan) and 504 meetings and serve as an advocate on behalf of students and families. I strive to help families obtain the maximum educational benefit for their child. I have considerable experience working with marginalized families who often do not understand their educational rights.
